Do I need to install anything?

No. QR Code API is a hosted service. Just make HTTP requests from any programming language.

Is there a free tier?

Yes! The free plan includes 1,000 QR codes per month with no credit card required.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time from the dashboard. Changes take effect immediately.

What happens if I exceed my limit?

You'll receive a 429 error. Upgrade your plan or wait for the monthly reset.

Technical

What's the maximum data size?

QR codes can encode up to 2,953 characters, but we recommend keeping data under 500 characters for best scanning reliability.

What error correction levels are available?

  • L - 7% recovery (maximum data density)
  • M - 15% recovery (default, balanced)
  • Q - 25% recovery (good for logos)
  • H - 30% recovery (best for logos)

Can I add a logo to my QR code?

Yes! Logo overlay is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Use the logo parameter with a URL to your image.

Are the QR codes scannable?

Yes, all generated QR codes follow the ISO/IEC 18004 standard and are compatible with all QR code scanners.

How do I track scans?
